The General Secretary of the Moldova Tennis Federation, Natalia Belibova, is taking part in the annual Tennis Europe AGM (Annual General Meeting), which is being held these days in Gdańsk (Poland) and brings together representatives of more than 40 national federations.

The AGM is a key platform for European tennis, where strategic directions for development are discussed, decisions are made, and priorities for the coming years are shaped. This year, one of the central topics of the conference is the digital transformation and digitization of tennis, alongside areas such as artificial intelligence in sports and modern management models.

Against this backdrop, the experience of the Moldova Tennis Federation has come into the spotlight.

According to Natalia Belibova, Moldova is now regarded as one of the leading countries in implementing digital solutions:

“Moldova is one of the advanced countries in this direction. We are held up as an example to other federations, especially considering that we are a small country working with limited resources, yet we successfully implement complex projects such as process digitalization.”

As part of the conference, Natalia Belibova presented the Federation’s own development to participants — a digital “Platform,” which has been fully operational since January 1.

The presentation sparked significant interest among other national federations, as well as representatives of Tennis Europe and the ITF, as international organizations are actively developing their own digital products and applications for managing the tennis ecosystem.

Special attention at the AGM is being paid to the implementation of the global World Tennis Number (WTN) ranking system — a universal indicator of players’ levels.

WTN represents a unified scale from beginners to professionals and allows for an objective assessment of players’ levels worldwide, regardless of age or category.

In the coming years, this system is expected to become the main reference point for organizing competitions, selecting opponents, and developing players at all levels — from amateur to professional.

The participation of the Moldova Tennis Federation in the AGM and the strong interest in its digital solutions confirm that the country is not only following modern trends but, in some areas, is ahead of them, shaping its own model for tennis development under limited resources.

This is yet another indicator that Moldovan tennis today is developing not only on the court but also in management, technology, and a systematic approach to sports organization.
